ACC Library Kicks Off 2025-26 Speaker Series
A meteorologist, a children鈥檚 book author, journalists, a mayor and a chef are just some of the guests of the 2025-26 Alvin Community College Speaker Series.
The series was created to bring engaging speakers to campus and share their experiences and expertise with students and the community.
鈥淲e have a great lineup of talented and informative speakers from our local community in the ACC Library Speaker Series this year,鈥 ACC Librarian Mark Love said. 鈥淲e are looking forward to hosting these events for our campus and local communities.鈥
The series will open with KPRC Meteorologist Justin Stapleton on September 10 starting at 1 p.m. Children鈥檚 author Skylar Garcia-Frost will follow on September 25 at 2 p.m.
October will feature counselor and musical performer Tom Wilbeck on October 7 at 2 p.m. and journalists Jacob and Matt Rascon from KHOU on October 23 at 1 p.m.
Manvel Mayor Dan Davis will speak on November 5 at 2 p.m. and Chef Jess DeSham Timmons will speak on November 20 at 2 p.m.
The Library Speaker Series is free and open to the public. The community is invited to attend each event.
