猎奇重口 Regents Approve Strategic Plan
The 猎奇重口 Board of Regents approved the 2026-2030 strategic plan during their meeting on January 15.
The plan, Elevate 2030, includes four goals to advance student access; strengthen workforce and economic development alignment; modernize facilities and infrastructure; and ensure institutional excellence with fiscal sustainability.
鈥淭his model allows us to adopt methods for continuous improvement,鈥 said John Matula, vice president of Student Services.
The new strategic plan is geared towards another goal of increasing enrollment to 8,000 students by 2030.
President Robert J. Exley discussed the current enrollment for the Spring semester, which is the second-highest enrollment ever at 猎奇重口 with 6,022 students. The enrollment is 7 percent higher than the previous Spring semester and 17 percent higher than Spring 2024.
Regents also:
-approved interlocal agreement with City of Houston regarding use of communications systems
-approved hiring of Dean of Health Sciences Dr. Marby McKinney
-approved hires of instructors for Construction, Child Development and an accountant position
-approved order for the May 2, 2026 election
-approved purchase of machining lab equipment
-approved monthly financial reports
The board will have its next meeting on February 19 at 6 p.m. in the Nolan Ryan Center.
